2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can. Pours amber with some orange and a beige head that leaves quickly. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, honey, and toasted malt. Flavor is caramel, cinnamon, biscuit, light pumpkin and spice. Light bodied.
Can:   Orangish straw, a touch dark, thin whispy white head, no real lacing.   Very muted nose, barely any aroma.   Spices... what spices.   A little tart up front, like fruity tartness.   No real spices.   I dont even know how to describe this.   Nearing the thin side, but otherwise moderate body and mouthfeel.   Tangy finish.   I don’t know what was put in this to make this a Pumpkin Ale.   Its... not even close.   Thanks Mike! In 12 oz can. Pours orange with very little head. Slightly cloudy. Aroma smells slightly tart (strange). This beer is very watery, very little pumpkin, spice, malt flavor. Tastes slightly tart. Not impressed.

Orange, lightly cloudy, no head. Aroma is slightly metallic and honey. Doesn?t really smell like pumpkin or pumpkin spice. Flat and bland. Taste of honey, melon and squash. Again no pumpkin spices. Honey is the strongest component of the beer. Strykzone (7364) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2015
Sampled at Wynkoop. Amber and pretty much clear. Pumpkin is more complex than most. It comes at you from different angles which is intetesting. Spices are nice but are on the gentle side. Not a pumpkin pie in a bottle beer but tasty.

12 oz can from Biggie Wine & Liquor. Dark orange and slightly hazy appearance with a small white head. Aroma of fresh pumpkins, mild spices, honey, caramel malts, light fruity notes and light piney/floral hops. Similar flavor, mild sweetness, mild spiciness and light bitterness, nicely balanced and easy to drink. Light to medium body with mild carbonation and a smooth finish. It finally cooled off today in CO so I feel like I can finally enjoy some pumpkin beers on a chilly fall day. HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2014
On tap at brewery October 01, 2014. Appearance: slight white head that does not last, orane straw color, lightly cloudy. Aroma: pumpkin, nutmeg, spice. Palate: medium-light body, average carbonation, poor astringent finish, watery. Taste: sweet pumpkin pie start with astringent finish. Overall, watery and astringency are big turn-offs for me. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2013

Ya know, I gave up on Wynkoop years ago, as they were easily one of the worst breweries in Denver...flaws galore in all their products, especially diacetyl. Then earlier this year on a lark I tried that testicle beer, and was shocked at what a nice stout it was. Although this isn’t as enjoyable as that beer, it is evidence Wynkoop might have finally hired a brewer that knows what he/she’s doing. This has a pleasant fruity, floral, pie-like aroma that is not at all what I expected and quite pleasant. The mouth experience is just a little odd (almost saccharine-like sweetness and a slick, oily mouthfeel), but overall decent enough. While a 3.3 may not seem very high, for Wynkoop this is actually saying volumes compared to the old days...and this is a novelty beer, after all. I should probably revisit some of their more traditional styles.
