Aroma: light hops, hints of caramel malts. Appearance: clear dark gold, small white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: flat to low carbonation, bitters continue light, some malty sweetness appearing. Overall: very pleasant Golden Ale, nice palate. Pint at the Lady Ottoline, London.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2015 Pale copper colour. Slightly perfumed aroma with a hint of vanilla. Flavour is quite complex and includes biscuit and citrus (not too much). A well thought out recipe and I liked it.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2015 Cask @ Southwestern Arms, Southampton. Dark gold or light copper, take your pick. Perfume aroma. Roses and gardenias. Taste starts alarmingly sweet, so the bitter aftertaste and finish are particularly welcome. Full but slightly oily mouthfeel. Personally I’m not overly keen, but there’s no denying that it’s a well-crafted recipe.

foxo82 (927) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2013
Hand pulled at The Wellington, Birmingham. Can’t believe I’ve not rated this before. Dry, woody and hoppy amber ale. Good duration and bitterness. Heavy and not easy drinking but a good beer nonetheless.

DandyLion (529) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2013
Cask @ The Clarendon, Leicester. Golden colour with nice white head. Aroma is nice citrus, slightly grassy and spicy. Taste is the same with a nice level of bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

minutemat (6063) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2013
Cask at The Fountain Inn, Gloucester. Cool refreshing pale with a mild hint of lemon. Foamy head that persists through the pint.

The_Osprey (9159) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2013
Cask at the Rutland Arms Hammersmith. Slightly cloudy pale orange, small white head. Smell - slight tangerine, watered down ’Sunny Delight’. Body is pretty standard for the style, quite smooth. Taste - more tangerine, soft bitterness, a bit watery. A sessionable, balanced beer. Very drinkable but not memorable.

pivnizub (10813) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - SEP 20, 2013
Cask(@Queen’s Arms, Kensington): Deep golden, hazy, stable small White head, moderate spicy, almost a bit piney, hoppy nose with the usual fruity-malty Background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, rather light bodied; lingering, lingering dry hoppy finish with a solid fruitiness. A bit thin, but still a nice one...
