20cl pour at the brewpub. Pours a transparent but hazy, honey orange with some sudsy, white head. Nose is very malty, wet chewy grain, honey, cracker, biscuit. Flavor is solid, sweet, honey, malt, a little less bready, some light maple sap, some yeast. Medium bodied, sweet finish. tampierre (1383) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 10, 2013

Bottle from brewery. Big yellowish head, hazy reddish amber colour. Aroma malty, light caramel, very light roasty. Taste is light diacetyl, rather malty with a weird sweet-acidic off note. Finish light bitter-acidic. Quite drinkable, but not much better than average. omikr0n (927) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 15, 2012

On tap in the brewpub in Cernice, near Plzen. I’m a fan of this beer. It’s a very good half dark. Caramel colour, huge caramel notes in the aroma and again in the taste. Slightly sweet. Toasted malt and a lingered toffee after taste. 3fourths (9341) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 16, 2011
draft at the source. this is it. dark amber body, fluffy and creamy white head. dense and robust nuttiness with savory toasted malt and a lightly sweet caramel / toffee / maple malt character with pronounced dryness and toastiness rising late. perfectly balanced. lovely. gunnar (9086) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2010

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, huge head. Starts hoppy and sweet. Turns then more and more moldy. Finish is earty-sourish, modest spicy. Not my favourite! MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Weak malty aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Stable light brown head. The flavour is a little fruity, sweetish malty. Slightly watery finish.
