On draft at the brewery from a font next to my bath. There really is no better way to drink it than while soaking in a bath of dilute hopped wort in the Purkmistr beer spa, though it was pretty similar at the Minipivovar festival the day before. Big hop presence in the body but not on the nose. Big sweetness from the Bohemian methodology. A bit of a clash but still gets you wanting more.

Really a lovely beer, its malt sweetness and hop flavor colluding to produce an addictive caramel-orange flavor that gets more intriguing the more of them you have... but in the end I always wanted it a bit more bitter, a bit less sweet. Still fun to drink The Bohemian diacetyl is there, part of the rustic Czech package, but wouldn’t I rather smell hops and malt? But we need the variety.

On tap at the brewpub in Plzen-CZ during the Slunce ve Skle fest. Pours cloudy deep golden color, tick white head. Nose: bread crust, yeast, fresh grainy, no dyacetil. Clean! Mouth: great carbonation, cookies, pastry, mild bitterness. So balanced and good!

6/VIII/15 - 50cl bottle from a trade @ holidays - BB: 11/VIII/15 (2015-1044) Thanks to motelpogo for the trade!

Little hazy deep blond beer, big irregular creamy off-white head, little stable, falls down a bit, little adhesive. Aroma: sourish, infected, malty, chemical, band-aid, bit sweet, hay, definitely something off. Thinking about infection (again?). MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sourish, vinegar, lemon juice, pretty bitter as well, chemical notes. Aftertaste: dirty, sour, clearly infected, vinegar, yuck!

Keg at the Brewery in Pilzen Day 3 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 1/10/14. Golden straw coloured pour with a light haze and cream white head and some lace. Aroma is light diacetyl, grainy bread cereals, hop matter. Flavour is composed of semi-sweet grainys, yeasty, sweaty hop matter, little spicy. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation, hint of citrus. Pretty dull.
