on tap at pyramid alehouse. bland stuff, amber with a large but quickly-dying head, weet-bix and lemonade aroma, listless and quite dull, nothing compared to a real bavarian hefeweizen Oscbert (1319) - Lincoln, California, USA - NOV 18, 2008
~Pours a cloudy copper amber color with small creamy head.
~Biscuit malt and wheat scent.
~Light malty taste.
~Medium bodied, quick finish.
~Easy drinking brew. Enjoyable, but not very notable. Droptank (79) - Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Eh? Not my favorite, to me it just seems kind of typical. Nothing really stands out in my opinion. A bit of spice, fruit and wheat...thats it. I will finish my sixer, but probably wont buy again. fidel (1302) - Livermore, California, USA - OCT 1, 2008
Medium hazy amber, malty, hoppy, bready, little corn, caramel, little spice. Metalhead (644) - Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2008
"OK" beer.Light amber hazy pour with small head. Mild malt and cereal. Fizzy and un refined. Worth a try but not a keeper.
Soonah (1120) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 18, 2008
Slightly brown, slightly red, the head was almost off-white, fizzy and produced minimal lacing. The aroma was malt, dry wheat and some fruit. The flavor was like a light dopplebock. Banana came through with some malt and slight wheat dryness. The mouthfeel was thin and the finish was fairly dry. Ratman197 (15346) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 16, 2008
On tap @ Oakland Airport poured a cloudy amber with a lasting light amber head. Aromas of wheat, carmel, light spice and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, wheat, light fruittiness and light spice with a smooth malty finish. nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 7, 2008
Poured a hazy orange color with a huge sparse head that disappeared quickly leaving little lacing. Aroma was spicy with hints of wheat and yeast. Taste was sweet malt and some citrus. Not a great wheat beer. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 30, 2008
Unfiltered orange with large quickly disappearing beige head. Aroma of spicy yeast, wheat, and cereal. Taste of caramel, yeast, sweet malt, lemon and wheat. Creamy body is a bit thin but it packs a nice crisp spicy finish. Middle of the road (at best) wheat beer. BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 21, 2008
Listed as Pyramid Amber Ale at the Ale House inside the Oakland Airport (on Tap). Not really appealing to drink. Pours a murky/muddy brown color with a small, off-white head. Aroma of wheat and amber/caramel malts. Taste is a nutty wheat beer with a bit of metal on the finish. Watery and fizzy.
