UPDATED: JUL 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy red-caramel color with a large beige head that completely fades away rather fast. Aroma is of yeast, wheat, alcohol and is sort of sweet. Taste is similar, but malt is present. Not a bad beer as it is inexpensive, but it was pretty hard to pour. It would probably be better if I had a fresher batch or if it was on tap. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 8, 2008
cloudy reddish pour, light aroma and the flavor seems like it cannot decide if it’s a wheat or an amber and just cannot meld the two. ganache (5900) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2008
Bottle. Sweet syrupy fruit nose (reminds of raspberry extract). Murky chestnut pour with some aggressive carbonation and little head. Taste has muddled caramel and wheat malt, kinda faded, with some lemony citrus which is enough to cut through. Lightly spicy. Light cardboard, light body, dry finish. Ugh, Pyramid is capable of much more than this 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2008
Pours a cloudy reddish murky brown a small white froth. Not much of an aroma, some caramel... Some alcohol and rich caramel in the flavor... maybe a touch of fresh green apple. Crisp soft sizzling carbonation and a medium/light body. eh.. SuperDave (1932) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 19, 2008
Cloudy amber pour with a medium foamy white head. Aroma of yeast and grain, with a bit of light roasted caramel malt. Lots of the malt comes through in the slightly sweet flavor. Light bodied with some graininess. Very refreshing.

Pours cloudy amber with a small white head. Few lacings. Aroma is floral hops.
Taste mild citrus hops with plenty of sweet malts. Some breadiness. This bottle had a use by date about one week from today. Probably better if fresh. Sweetness dominates the palate. bigbish (712) - California, USA - MAY 26, 2008
Out of the bottle in Denver, CO. A hazzy pour, smells of appricot. Nothing special, but a very refreshing beer. This would be good for hot summer days, sitting on the patio. rayOfBeer (674) - El Cerrito, California, USA - MAY 6, 2008
Poured from tap at Berkeley Pyramid ale house a hazy brown with small white head and low carbonation. Nose of caramel and sweet toast. Flavor checks in with lightly sweet caramel and some grainy notes. The palate is slightly watery and there is no hop presence with the only tart bitterness coming from the grain. Not bad, not great. ilovedarkbeer (2741) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 2, 2008
Pours a hazy amber weizen color with a medium size creamy head. Nose is sour and a bit malty. Taste is matly wheat. What this hybrid sort of style attempts to do, end up failing in both catergories. Not bad but just meek. mgoy (344) - New York, New York, USA - APR 20, 2008
Pyramid Amber Weizen is a pale amber beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is full of wheat with hints oh honey and light, not pale, malt. The flavor is also full of wheat with honey and very light natural cherry hints.
