Our flavorful apricot ale boldly combines the taste and aroma of fresh apricot with the smooth finish of wheat malt. Its refreshingly unfiltered character and fruit flavor make it an ale worth savoring.

Note: Previously Pyramid Audacious Apricot Ale.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2003 I actually thought this to be quite tasty. Alot of tart apricoty peachy aromas. Quite an effervescent light body. Not as sweet as I would have liked and the effervescene was a bit much (aftertaste of Alka-Seltzer).

I am not sure what they where trying to accomplish with this beer. I would either go with a lambic or a cider.

Nice hazy golden/amber color. Nice restrained nose of fruit. Good apricot taste mingling with decent hops. Good bitters. A nice beer.

Not a bad fruit beer. The apricot was fairly evident for me, in both smell and taste. Very cloudy with mild carbonation. It would be good on a hot day but other than that not too appealing.

(Mar2003--12oz.bottle) Dense head initially, partially receding, hazy, limp carbonation, fine bubbles, some lacing. Aroma of apricot syrup. Flavor: syrupy, moderately sweet, slightly sour, apricot, adjuncts. No bitterness. Blah.

Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 26, 2003
Sweet apricot nectar aroma, and touch of wheat/yeast. Pleasing. Bright amber-orange cloudy liquid with thin, off-white, foamy, lacing head. Medium watery smooth body, medium carb. Citrusy/tangy in taste. Good amount of hops, wheaty but a little bitter. Can taste the apricot but not as pleasing as the aroma. Imparts some undesirable sour notes. Mild astringent finish and apricot/wheat after. Sourness detracts.

I can't get over the smell! It makes me want to fill a bathtub with it and bath in it. Nice color with a very big apricot and honey taste. Good for a fruit beer.

Yummmm... This beer made me want to clone it. Mine was dark and I added too much apricot extract. Close, tho! The smell is great. Its always murky looking to me. The beer is lite wheat tasting with a finish of mellow apricot. This one was so good on tap at the saucer.... Too bad they got rid of it.... Only two bad things are color/price.... This is a top10 beer of mine!

Pours cloudy orange with white head. Smells very strongly of apricot. Has a very refreshing apricot flavor that doesn't taste artificial and isn't too sweet. Finishes with crisp maltiness.
