Sample at the Seattle brewpub. Murky pale amber in color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, honey and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, sweet honey and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a short malt aftertaste. Average overall. slowrunner77 (12451) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 11, 2014
"Not a huge fan of this one. Not bad (no glaring faults) but nothing that stood out. I wanted either the honey or the bock base to be a little more assertive, but neither were. One timer here. Light, refreshing, bready, but all a little too restrained." bb (9657) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light malt aroma. Honey andmalt flavor. Medium bodied. Honey and malt linger with light earthiness. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle:   Golden with a slight fiery hue, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Malty and bready nose,
pale, also a bit nutty.   Smooth and sweet soft breadiness up front, honey is noticeable for sure.   Surprised how
smooth this was.   Moderate sweetness. &nbdp Average body and mouthfeel.   Soft bready finish, malty, slightly
chewy.   A lighter Heller Bock, not too heavy or overly sweet, but with a nice touch of honey you get half-way through
the beer. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Light golden in color clear with a fluffy white head. Easy drinking bock crisp flavor. Lingering sweet honey flavor and finish. Good beer.

Bottle from the spring mixer. Nose has some honey in there, with a little bit of nuttiness and fruitiness coming through subtly. Taste is light and somewhat sweet, with more of the honey coming through. OK, but nothing interesting. bpreo (2881) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Limited edition. It has a rich flavor, and a bit of spice to it. It’s nice to have a honey beer every once in a while. poisoneddwarf (2599) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JUN 6, 2014
12 oz bottle from the Spring variety pack. Aroma is pretty muted, but there’s faint honey, floral notes, grain, generic beer. Pours slightly hazy golden with a one finger white head with decent retention. Taste is much like a pale lager with a faint hint of honey sweetness. Forgettable. Second thoughts: this started to grow on me after a bit. The honey comes through more strongly after sitting about 10 minutes, making it go beyond the mostly pale lager it seemed to be at first. Also, a hoppy bitterness makes itself known in the finish. Much better than my first impressions. robforbes (2255) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - MAR 24, 2013
pours a semi-cloudy straw-yellow with a thin white head, and little to no lacing.
smell is faint, citrus, sweetness, and malt.
taste is of grain, honey, some malt, and a touch of citrus. ends a little sweet. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - JUN 27, 2014
12 oz bottle- Pours hazy golden with a thin soapy white head that reduces quickly. Aroma is unidentifiable spices, thinking thyme or basil, muted honey, basic beer. The taste is similar, spices, the honey is there imparting a nice mellow creamy velvety texture, don’t get me wrong this is nothing special, i am just surprised that it is as decent as it is.
