Bottle from a local grocery store. Tasted a lot like a Newcastle to me. Light bodied beer, nutty and roasted malt flavor. Decent brew.
Bottle:   Moderate brown, somewhat light, sudsy white head, minor, little lacing.   Soft toasted malts, a little bready and perhaps nutty and/or biscuity.   Overall, too soft.   Similar on the tongue, almost watery.   Very pale breadiness, faint caramel, touch of nuttiness and biscuit.   Lighter than expected.   English Dark Ale?   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes a little malty, bready, with faint caramel.   Too pedestrian. jdavidh (173) - California, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Color and aroma are weak for a porter. Flavor pretty decent though. Another that could benefit from more carbonation.

On tap at Pyramid Alehouse in Walnut Creek, CA. Pours brown with a beige head and light malty aroma. Taste is light, malty notes with caramel, bready and biscuit flavors with a short finish. Light, could use more flavor and strength jjgmd (2273) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2013
On tap at Pyramid Ale House, Walnut Creek, California, pours a dark brown pour with a thin barely noticeable head. Nose is sweet and malty. Taste is light, with a taste of cocoa, smooth and velvety. Drinks quite easily, and finishes on sweet creamy chocolate notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10 bpreo (2990) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Brown Porter / English Brown Ale. Not the best beer by Pyramid or of the style.
