Sample at the Seattle brewpub. The beer pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head that diminishes slowly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat and spice. Light-bodied with flavors of malt, chai tea and wheat. The finish is wheaty with s mildly spiced aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 11, 2014
"Pretty spot on for what they were going for/advertised. I’ve always liked chai tea and so therefore liked this beer. if you don’t, you won’t simple as that. Zero alcohol evident. Nice feel. Cool brew." bytemesis (9515) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Bottle. Pours hazy amber yellow with a medium light beige head and decent lacing. Aroma is wheat, spices (not really identifying them with chai), lemon, and a touch of cardboard. Flavor is about the same, spicy and medium sweet. Light bodied. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Deep orangish amber, thick and dirty, small sudsy white head, little lacing.   Spicy Chai nose, also a little fruity.   Actually smells pretty good.   I was thinking Pyramid, yeah... but so far so good.
Nice balance is the first thing, not overbearing Chai (I keep wanting to spell chair), nice wheat malt base.   Moderate sweetness.   Somewhat surprised by this one.   I don’t say this often about Pyramid anymore, but
wouldn’t mind if this was a year round offering.   Nice spicy Chai on the finish.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A nice take in their otherwise mediocre Hefe.   Love the new labels too.   Better than I
anticipated is what I will take away from this experience.   Has just the right amount of sweetness where when I finish, I want another. thegreenrooster (4633) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is wheat and a herbal tea. Flavor is again wheat with some herbal spice. It’s a wheat ale with a little dark tea added. Nothing great.

Bottle from BevMo. Very hazy golden/orange in color. Highly spiced nose. Very herbal. Smells like some fragrant desert plants. Sweet and slightly spiced flavors up front. Some tropical fruit qualities. Very crisp and refreshing with a good wheat flavor. Solid brew. bpreo (3011) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - NOV 7, 2012
A smooth, light taste. This wheat beer is brewed with malts, hops, and tea. poisoneddwarf (2690) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JAN 10, 2013
12 oz bottle from the winter variety pack bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours cloudy orange with a medium white collapsing head. Aroma is full of Chai tea spices, apples. Taste is sweet and savory; reminds me of certain pumpkin beers with those spices. Body is thin, a little watery. A nice effort from Pyramid. This brewery was really going downhill for awhile there. I’ve had a number of pretty damn good beers lately in these seasonal variety packs. I’m glad they’ve turned themselves around. robforbes (2280) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - OCT 9, 2012
pours a cloudy light orange with a small white head, and a little lacing.
smell is of tea, wheat, and spice.
taste is spice, tea, and some wheat. ends spicy with a little white pepper. nothing too exciting, is what it says it is chai wheat. not bad though. GuilTTy (2264) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2013
Bottle from the Winter sampler. Hazy light auburn pour supporting a short, rich and soft white head. Good lacing. Mildly spicy aroma. Chai note apparent once you seek it out. Modest malt up front with some spicy and herbal warmth giving this brew a nice complexity without overpowering the flavor. Restrained hops. Some lemon zest and a touch of milk chocolate. Rich, silky texture and a medium long and smooth finish.
I was afraid the chai would come across as forced and gimmicky but it was nicely executed. A pleasant surprise.
