Pours a gold/organge color, cloudy with a small head that does not last out of the bottle. Subtle aroma nd flavors include some citrus, maybe vanilla. Not impressive in my mind. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - MAY 29, 2004
Bottle. Pale golden beer with a big white head. Slightly bready aroma with a touch of lemon. Grassy flavor with some metallic overtones that leaves a bready taste lingering. Highly carbonated. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - MAY 20, 2004
A refreshing, smooth, fairly solid ready-for-summer beer. Flavor begins with grassy hops and biscuity malt but a light fruity sweetness develops before the bitter finish. Smooth, creamy hazy straw-colored body, topped by a medium off-white head. Nice mouthfeel. All in all a nice change from what can be a monotony of wheat beers this time of year. jde123 (775) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 5, 2004
Pours nicely with a hazy appearance and nice foamy white head. this is beer. Ahhh, smells like a pilsener should, nice a bready. Taste leaves a lot to the imgaination, however. Needs a little work. Palate is like someone kicked me in the teeth. Not the best offering from this fine brewery. mardermax (71) - santa cruz, California, USA - MAY 4, 2004
12oz bottle- poured into tulip glass.. The head disappeared completely in about 30 seconds.. Cloudy golden color, definately carbonated. The smell was one of a distinct pilsner, barley and kind of interesting. The taste was one of slight hops, but no distinct characteristics overwhelmed me.. Bland beer, not impressive, tastes like water compared to stone beers, i’d rather drink budweiser.

A medium head on top of a pale gold colored body. Slight vanilla and some orange in the light aroma. Taste is full for the style. Some malt and a full mouthfeel. A little citrus and some slight bitterness. A pleasant surprise. sloth (2905) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - APR 18, 2004
Small white head, fair retention, slight lacing. Hazy, light gold color. Lightly bready nose, cidery. Light bodied. Light maltiness with a
just a touch of hop flowery notes. Finish is dry. PrinceofNessus (236) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - MAR 30, 2004
The appearance is light orange with a thik white head. typical for a pilsner. the smell is of slightly soured fruit. the taste is the same but watery. BigBastard (668) - L.A., California, USA - MAR 8, 2004
This was a pleasant surprise. Light and creamy mouthfeel, with light hops, and lightly sweet malty flavors. This will be my go to supermarket beer for a while I think. Very enjoyable. SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 6, 2004
Bottle. Pours rich, clear, golden color with a creamy white head that lasts well. Fairly typical pilsner aroma, malty with a balancing of floral hops. Flavor is lightly sweet with a touch of spice in the hops and a dry finish. Light body and creamy carbonation.
