pretty clean and crisp. nothing special, but it’s definitely drinkable and enjoyable under the right circumstances. not good enough to buy off the shelf, though."

Pyramid Ales--Coastline Pilsner Lager 2002 12 oz. Bottle. 4.50% ABV. (3.25 / 5.0) Pilsner--Very clear light bright straw golden color. Medium lace and head. Mild not Saaz hop front with light malt scent. Crisp smooth mild body with off flavor hint. Mild smooth slightly tangy end. Session Brew. Sampled 2/12/2002.

Poured a clear golden color, with a big, fizzy white head. The nose was of floral hops, cut grass and a mild, biscuit maltiness. The taste was not as the smell implied. The mild floral hoppiness is much less. There’s mostly the biscuity maltiness, and also a slight citrus flavor just before the swallow, which was nice and dry. Nevertheless, it wasn’t bad at all for an American pale lager. This was a decent session pils. not great by any means.

Bottle. suprisingly decent body, and character especially for a pislner. No metallic hops that characterize euro pilsners. Almost too sweet and malty to be a pils. Reminds me more of a farmhouse type brew than a pilsner. Still nice and enjoyable but a bit different for the style.

Good carbonated body with a light yellow color. Had a good head and fine taste for a pilsner.

I was not expecting much from this one. After pouring the dirty yellow beer with a weak head and average aroma, my expectations got even lower. Each sip didn’t start impressive, but the malty / yeasty finish was quite pleasant. I’d return to this one if I’m in the mood for a light beer. Actually seemed comparable to your corner American microbrewery light beer out there.

Golden in body with an initially bubbly white head, this has an aroma of sweet malt enhanced by a light floral hoppiness. The flavor is that of well rounded, bready malts balanced nicely by an herbal bitterness. I wish they’d have kicked up the hops a notch, but there’s still enough lasting into the dry finish. A good warm weather beer.

From a stubby 12 oz. twist cap brown bottle with "Enjoy By" date on the neck label. Made a good appearance, poured an clear orange hued golden with a foamy, bubbly white head that reduced to a minimally sticking thin lacing. Had a sweet malty and grainy aroma with hints of a caulky fruitiness. Medium carbonation and a smooth light bodied mouth feel, decent drinkability. Had a dry sweet malty taste with a soft hop bite and a dry grainy finish.

Pours a nice golden yellow. Aromas of malts, hops. Crisp hop bitterness and dry finish.

Bottled, whilst in Hong Kong. Medium gold colour body, largish head. A medium bodied, bohemian styled pilsner. A descent pils.
