3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Pyramid taphouse in Berkeley. Pours golden orange. Sweet citrus aromas. Ok beer
On tap at Portland Brewing, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp crackery malt, not much else really. Flavour is along the same lines, with cereal malts and crackery malt. Light sweetness in there. Pleasant but not interesting. It’s fine. luttonm (6273) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 21, 2016
Bottle in Seattle. Pale straw gold, creamy head. Malty sweet body, creamy grain. Mild sweet hop note but muted in front of creamy, touch lactic malt. Solid but not for me. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Typical blonde ale here. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains with just a slight herbal tone on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with grains. cr3zz (1) - - JUL 19, 2015 does not count

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a golden orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head of the brew has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a bready and light caramel smell with a moderate showing of citrus and a little bit of a yeast. Along with these aromas comes some light hop smells of a floral and citrus nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather clean malt flavor, being mainly of a doughty and caramel nature. With these flavors comes some other lighter fruit tastes of a peach and citrus nature, which grow slightly stronger as the taste moves on further. All the while the doughty takes on hints of a grainy nature with some hop flavors of a floral and citrus nature. A little bit of a yeast and a light loss of some of the sweet comes at the very end of the taste, leaving one with a rather easy going, but enjoyable flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side for a kolsch with a carbonation level that is rather average. The feel is rather nice for the mix of flavors and makes for a rather enjoyable brew overall.
Overall- This was a very easy drinking and quite enjoyable brew overall. Nothing super out of the world, but a nice easy drinker that is great for the summer months.

On tap at Pyramid. Served in a plastic cup in the Beer Garden. Clear golden color with medium white head. Slight citrus aroma. Grainy flavor with a slight citrus finish. Med-light body. Too much grain and not enough citrus.

the first one i had was good enough, but in subsequent tastings, there was an unpleasant, almost skunky quality to it. i’d have thought i got a bad one if it only happened once...and it didn’t taste quite spoiled. just boring and not very good."

An easy to drink beer that is good fit a refreshing day. A little bit of an undesirable aftertaste. Not very crisp. chinchill (4995) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 22, 2014
22 oz bottle consumed on the banks of Oregon’s McKenzie River. No date found.
Appearance: clear medium-light amber with a semi-durable, off-white head. Limited spotty lacing.
Aroma: faint and mild herbal/floral hops with a good bit of biscuit malts.
Flavor: Low hop intensity in this ale. Rather low malt load too. Mild bitterness.
Feel: Lively medium carbonation. Near medium body.
O: decent but unexceptional light pale ale.

Pours a light golden with thin white head. Aroma is a clean crisp fruitiness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Flavor citrus and grain with a short dry finish. It was ok, but nothing to get excited about.
