The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Looks and smells good but taste is a little off. Wheaty and citric but I detected something a little metallic to the flavor. Where is the bannana and clove? I've had better hefeweizens.

pours with a healthy light-tan head above the traditional cloudy golden/orange body. Aroma is mildly sweet wheat, spicy (clove), and light citrus. Taste is watery lemon, hint of yeast. Where's the banana?!

Purchased on draft at an Outback Steakhouse - fortunately I remembered to tell them not to use a frosted mug, geez, do they think that all beer is ice impervious swill like the mass produced lagers? This came in a large mug, hazy golden color with a small head and little lacing. Fruity aroma with malt and wheat and a decent hop spice. Flavor was malted grains, sour mash, lemon and a medium hop finish. Good with a meal but not a favorite.

Hmm...not a huge fan of this one. Nose is fairly crisp, and little else. The appearance is the high point, with decent (but quickly fading) head and dark orange color. Flavor is fairly flat and lacks depth. Ehh...

Nice refreshing American wheat beer. Some banana in the nose and taste. Want to try on a very hot day.

Smooth and easy drinking. I found some banana in this (aroma and even taste) but little to none of the typical clove - that's o.k. - it made it all the more drinkable. Nice light hop finish too. Now, I've got to figure out how to drink it while using the weed whacker at the same time...

Cloudy golden color with a wispy egg white head. Sour wheat aroma. Quite spritzy on the mouth. Sour lemon/lime flavor pop flavors in the start. Fnish has some more malt backbone. Light cross of bavarian and berliner weisse. Quenching, but not alot of flavor.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2011 Golden cloudy wheat beer that my waiter poured with a smallish head. Banana and cloves, more spice than sweet fruit, sour and wheaty, not much hops. // rerated 15 December 2011. Nasty. More dirty than fruity.

Nice hazy yellow liquid with a good head. Nice aroma of hops and tanginess. Good texture. SOmewhat tart. Nice for a hot day for sure.

Sort of a flat hefeweizen. Sweet flavor with hints of banana ... very much like Sudwerk's Maerzen. Great gold color. Not bitter at all. Doesn't taste that great when the brew gets above 65 degrees.
