Not the best wheat by far. maybe I tried too many German wheats before hitting this one... Had a funny taste that I couldn’t place, other than that a very run-of-the-mill hefe-weizen. Nothing distinguishing or notable about this brew.

Smells very wheaty with a beautiful unfiltered golden hue. It had a very citrus flavor followed by slight hoppy flavor. Overall a pretty good wheat.

Golden cloudy color. Initial odor of rising bread fades quickly. Slightly sour citrus flavor.

Not bad. Considering this is West Coast, it’s definitely not bad. Smells and tastes of a citrus and wheat mix. Strong towards lemon but leaning towards orange. Not too spicy or floral. Gladly it’s not overloaded with hops. Worth trying. Got it as a gift along with some other beers. Not bad at all.

Slightly cloudy, little head. Spices present but no asserted well enough--rather a dull profile that seems watered down. Fruits, a little. Vinegar and astringent notes in my glass.

(23Dec2002) Served on tap in a tall Bavarian weissbier glass, this pretty beer got me excited--a perfectly authentic-looking hefeweisse. Sadly, I see that this is an ’American Wheat’, a euphemism for wussie pseudo-weisse. Hardly could discern any aroma. None of the expected coriander/banana smells or flavors. Just a persistent acid sourness with no real flavor.

Part of a gift pack, cloudy hazy yellow color, with a small white head.Stale bannana-clove aroma, wheaty, yeasty flavors, very light in body, somewhat watery, has kind of a sour after taste, not bad average for an American Wheat.

Re-rate 12/20/02: A “Chill Hazed” orange color on the pour with a decent sized head and nice lace to cover the glass. Yeasty hints in the nose, citrus fresh and lightly sweet, the start malt mostly with a middling top. Finish nicely carbonated and a fair to middling hop presence with the appropriately dry lingering aftertaste. Nice beer, not a great beer, but drinkable in its own right.
