On tap at The Taphouse, pours a hazy golden orange. Weak flavour of wheats and citrus. Not a good hefe.

I remember someone telling me that this was just an unfiltered version of the Wheaten Ale. That cannot be true, since that beer is quite good and this one is quite lifeless.

Bottle, 5.2% @ FOneFan. Slightly hazy dark yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, wheat and yeast. Flavour is malt, wheat, yeast, hop, little sweet, spices and a little watery.

Hazy yellow color, small white head, lace. Light banana aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Overriped banana, light citrus ... semi-sweet flavor. Quite classic style hefeweizen. Much better than top raters’ old ratings indicated.

Bottle. It pours a lightly hazy body, golden in color and with a small, white head. It’s quite bananaish and lemoy on the nose, with some maltyness. The flavor is like a boring German hefeweizen, but not bad in any way. Wheat, banana, bubble gum and some lemon. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Bubble gum and banana in the end. An easy drinkable one, bet it’s nice in the summer heat, but it’s too boring I think. 121110

I rated this one before it went "haywire." Not the best of the genre. Cloudy yellow pour. Nose and taste of dry wheats and banana. Rated 11/3/2000

A: The pour is a cloudy golden orange color with a finger’s worth of white head. S: The nose is quite mild and unimpressive, but doesn’t possess the usual sour wheat notes of beers of this style. A bit of citrusy hops and bready malt, but that is about it. T: A soft sweetness from the wheat and malts, and a bit of yeastiness (which doesn’t surprise me given the amount of sediment on the bottom of the bottle). A light citrus and grass hop flavor and very soft bitterness. M: Light to medium in body with moderate carbonation. D: Not a bad beer, but somewhat one note and bland. It was good for the occasion where it was being served (a wedding), but not something I would go out and pick up.

Draft - Mild citrus nose. Cloudy straw with thin lingering head. Very nondescript with some grain, hay and citrus. A very small bite of bitterness just to let you know it is there.

MiP (15962) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2014
Bottle, 5.2%. Hazy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is yeasty with a bit of white bread and some flowery hops.
