Draft at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat, malt, and oranges. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of wheat, orange, and light notes of banana, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The body is so light - that I’d never think it was 7.5% ABV - my guess would be around 4%. mcberko (18105) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 3, 2010
On tap at TCBF, pours hazy golden yellow. Aroma and flavour of wheat, citrus, banana and something else I can’t put my finger on (some odd spice). Great for Pyramid’s standard. Oakes (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 21, 2007
Draught, Pyramid Alehouse Seattlebhensonb (15358) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 12, 2007
Extra cloudy. Dull beige. Banana and alcohol on the nose. Firm alcoholic character, light banana fruitiness, and lots of malt. Still manages to retain drinkability despite its size. A fairly well-executed rendition of a silly concept.
Wheaty aroma, arguably with floral/citrus. Hazy ripe apricot color with a white head that ringed. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. The flavor starts with a little citrus sour, followed by wheat, and a slight amount of bitter. Not finding banana. The finish is pretty dry, and it seems to be floral and citrus hop. A really nice ale, but not a German style hefe. Anybody disagrees, let me know. I can always use education. Ratman197 (14978) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 4, 2008
Bomber poured a cloudy golden amber with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of yeast, wheat, light citrus and a hint of banana. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of yeast, wheat, bread with faint hints of banana and with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Pours a hazy dark amber hue with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Good wheat and banana aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium well balanced spicy flavor with a good sweet finish of moderate duration. Good soft drinkable beer. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 25, 2008
(22oz bottle) Small off-white head atop cloudy light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, yeasty wheat, some orange, butterscotch. Taste is medium sweet, apricot/orange, yeast, some wheat, alcohol, light candi sugar. Somewhat dry finish. Medium body, faint acidity. Dogbrick (13168) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Pours a cloudy dark orange/yellow color with a medium thick and fluffy white head that has good retention. Patches of lacing on the glass. Wheaty, fruity malt aroma. Medium-bodied with flavors of wheat, banana and spices. More crisp at times than a typical Hefe. Mild hops and alcohol show up at times as well. The finish is round and sweet with yeast and banana, followed by touches of peppery hops. Enjoyable all around. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 18, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a murky orange body with a medium white head. Aroma of mustiness, vanilla, orange peel, banana, and some clove (as it warms). Flavor of strong wheat presence, banana, orange peel, clove, and pepper. hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2011
22oz bottle. 2007 Reserve (pulled from the back of my fridge!). Poured a golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of cloves, wheat, and lighter bananas. Tastes of the same. Actually not too bad for a ’07 Hefe that has been sitting in the fridge long forgotten.
