3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Rating from notes, this was originally consumed well over a year ago. Pours a hazy/cloudy dark orange with a large white head. Aroma is strong and typically yeasty and hefeweizen in nature with some banana and clove along with citrus and a general fruitiness. Flavor is fairly malty with a dense and creamy body that lends substance to a light, citrusy and fruity flavor profile. Not as much banana in the flavor as in the aroma but any hints of sweetness do not last and lead to a bit of a peppery spicy finish that is appropriately yeasty. The strength is a big surprise, as it was not evident at all during the tasting. It comes off as an amped up version of a hefe, the goal of course, and they did a great job of achieving it. I remember going back to find another bottle but there were none left. I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
1 Pint Bottle 2007 Brewer’s Reserve
Appearance- Pours Very Cloudy golden yellow with a large white bubble head. Some sediment from the bottle gout in to the Glass No lacing on the glass.
Aroma- Very sweet smell with a floral bouquet with a hint of fruit
T/P- Starts off very wheaty turning to a nice warm feeling which is more than likely due to the alcohol content of the beer. Defiantly has the taste of American wheat which I like, but if you do not and are looking for the strong banana and clove taste stay away from this one, they are there but barely
Overall- Not a bad hefeweizen but at the price not one that I would drink all the time. But would defiantly get more of to have on hand

22oz bottle. 2007 Reserve (pulled from the back of my fridge!). Poured a golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of cloves, wheat, and lighter bananas. Tastes of the same. Actually not too bad for a ’07 Hefe that has been sitting in the fridge long forgotten. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 22, 2011
22 ounce bomber. Hazy yellow with a white head. Looks like a classic unfiltered wheat beer. Smooth and drinkable for the alcohol content.. hayduke (5550) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 2, 2011
May have kept this too long. 2007 bottle. Pour dark yellow with a big foamy head. Nose of banana and alcohol. Light in body with lively mouthfeel. Flavor is bananas and clove. Seemed to have lost its pop but for a four year old unfiltered hefe it was not bad. Brandman (2954) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 29, 2011

Hazy orange colour with small off-white head.
Malt, caramel, yeast and wheat in aroma.
Some bitterness, yeast, wheat and strong Bock-like maltiness in flavour. Alcohol warmth.
Strong banana and phenols on aroma. Hazy hay color with foamy white head. Fruity flavor of bananas and hefe yeast with slight tart bitterness on the finish. Lighter body with fizzy carbonation. Definitely a hefe, but the alcohol tempers the esters. ThaJuggernaut (309) - Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2011
Great beer! Hard to find though. Again I found this one at Tacoma boys in puyallup. This beer is one of my favorite pyramids TomTiedemann (250) - Levittown, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2010
Very impressed and had the chance to drink this on tap at many local places close to the brewery itself. waiting to make the trip for visit. mcberko (18084) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 3, 2010
On tap at TCBF, pours hazy golden yellow. Aroma and flavour of wheat, citrus, banana and something else I can’t put my finger on (some odd spice). Great for Pyramid’s standard.
