"This one was ok as well. Aroma a little nutty, with a touch of caramel and citrusy hops, but you had to work for it. Flavor is almost dead on with the nose. Average body, average beer."

Bottle. Ruby-brown beer with a tan head. Malt and light roast aroma with light cocoa. malt and light citrus flavor with light toffee. Medium bodied. Malt and light toffee lingers with citrus. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Deep amber, slightly dull from some sediment, large frothy sandy head, little lacing.   Soft pine and pith nose.   Has a slight rye aspect?   Sweet bready malts, almost whole wheat, with some sweet citrus
peel and pith.   Not what I was expecting for an Irish Ale.   Backside seems a little peaty.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Moderate breadiness on the finish, touch of caramel, mild peat, pale toasted malts, with
soft citrus peel and pith bitterness.   Not bad, but pretty pedestrian. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Dark reddish amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt Irish flavor. Decent amount of hops. Nice easy drinking Red Ale. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Bottle from the Spring mixer. Nose is extremely yeasty, and actually ends up being closer to a saison than anything else I’ve smelled recently. Taste is a little sour up front, but then finishes off with some toasty bread malty sweetness. Odd beer.

Limited edition beer. I’m trying it two days too late (after St. Patrick’s Day). Tasty. poisoneddwarf (2713) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JUL 12, 2013
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy amber with a small collapsing cream-colored head. Aroma is caramelly, dough, metal, toast. Taste is malty sweet with little bitterness. Texture is slightly oily, body thin to near medium. robforbes (2284) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - MAR 24, 2013
pours a semi-clear copper red with a small dirty white head, and a little lacing.
smell is of caramel, malt, some spice, and a touch of fruit.
taste is of caramel, some hops, roasted malt, and slight amount of citrus. ends a little tangy. beerbaaron (1997) - Arizona, USA - AUG 16, 2014
A little odd to me. Quite roasty, maybe too much. Would probably pass on it next time. Not off putting I guess, just didn’t do much for me. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 5, 2014
Off white head rises up to about a 1/2" and dies back immediately... the brew is clear deep copper/cherry wood....
Nose is clean dark toast... fermented out caramel essence.
Flavor mirrors the aroma with something that reminds me just a tiny bit of roasted malt... crisp and clean with just enough malt sweetness to make this crushable... medium/light body with light carbonation.
Pretty authentic... no diacetyl like many Continental brothers.
