expired from bi-lo, nice smell, almost of ginger...but fairly mild...hints of wild/sour fermentation in the smell and taste...good!!...crisp carbonated finish with lingering sourness that is just right User134089 (1644) - - APR 10, 2013

Poured a reddish brown nut color with 1-2 fingers of khaki tan head that dissipated almost right away. Minimal wet lacing on the side, poor retention on the top on the way down.
Smelled very malty right from the beginning. Got dark fruits and malts full nuts, toast and caramel. Seemed to be some faint bitter notes in there late. Reminded me slightly of a Newcastle.
Tasted a lot more bland than the smell. Still malty, but not as flavorful as the smell. Toast, nutty and faint caramel.
Medium-to-light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Longer smooth finish.
The definition of an average beer. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Bottle. Poured reddish amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor were malt forward, quite sweet, some caramel and toffee, low bitterness. Standard, forgettable red. AdamGott (387) - Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA - FEB 19, 2013
slight red colored brown ale - aroma of malt and fruit - complex flavors of bread and light citrus. finishes with bread and light malt. Good. DMLINAZ (332) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Nice limited time offering from a solid brewery. Pours orange copper with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is of malts, caramel, maybe some alcohol (not bad). Flavor: I enjoyed this one. Nice toasted malts, caramel, some mild smokiness. Long finish.

Appearance has a dark ruby red color supporting a dissipating head leaving nil lace. Smell of the roasted malt upfront leaving the hops in the back. Taste of the roasted specialty malt with enough sweetness and hop to blend it. Mouthfeel is medium light with good carbonation. Not great, but a good Irish red. mjteeters (37) - Issaquah, Washington, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Mixed pack with 12oz. bottles. Dark with a red tinge and a white head. Minimal aroma, touches of malt ... carmel? Toast/bread and ctirus with a really nice (sweet?) finish. Very nice limited release. Gem of the mixed 12-pack.
