12 ounce bottle. Pours a mostly clear copper color with a medium creamy white head. The aroma is biscuit malts and light bitter hops. The flavor is mostly smooth creamy malts, some Cascade hops, light bitterness. Easygoing and grainy. TheBeerGod (6216) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Bottle. Dark reddish brown with a short, foamy white head. Spicy hops, caramel, earthy notes and sweet malt form the nose on this one. Taste is spicy hops, chewy caramel, light honey, citrus, earthy notes and grains. Body is medium-full and very chewy. Carbonation is strong but rather creamy. Ends with more caramel, chewy malt, spicy hops, citrus fruit and light honey. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Good representation of the red ale. Nice sparkle to it. Some hop bite. Made an Alaska flight much better. Just right amount of hops. hamrech (134) - Carbondale, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2010
This brew tastes just as good warm as it does cold, and I’m not sure whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. It’s OK, definitely drinkable but unremarkable. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 13, 2010

Local bottle. Pours a clear, dark bronze color with red highlights. Small off-white head with nice lacing. Light aroma is barley, caramel, NW hops, and a touch of medicine. Flavour brings out some roasted notes plus some hop resin. Bitterness lingers after the finish. Flavourful. cheap (5856) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Stubby screw top cap in a brown bottle. Pour is nice and dark but there is not gunk on the bottom of the bottle. Smell is almost very hoppy, with a candy background. Thin creamy looking tan head. Taste is caroub and malt, also candy like but mulled over with a yeasty background. Has a crystal like alky hint in there. Juggernot buggernot. Some penetrating carbonation on the palate, but still less than I care for. Taste is hauntingly reminescent of malted milk at times. Creamy on the tongue every sip. Some mild bitterness begins to peak its head out every once in a while during the session. Finish is mild to medium length not quite so bitter medicine. Red ale, eh? sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 16, 2010
Tasted 1/10/10. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Lacing beige head. Citrus candy nose. Good imperial nose. Medium bodied with a nice mix of sweet and bitter. Good hop dose. Maybe a touch thin on the palate, but nice and bitter. Solid food accompaniment. Not bad on the low end. shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 21, 2009
Bottle. Orange/buttery malt and light pine aroma. Reddish-amber color with moderate head. Sweet light cherry and buttery malt flavor with a light orange/pine hops finish. Very nice beer. ttutony (920) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2009
Pretty decent red ale, good presence from the hops with caramel malt that rounds out the beer nicely.
