Smells like hops! Flavor is somewhat sweet and fruity. A little bite at the finish. Pretty tasty, with a little coating in the aftertaste.

A more bitter beer of the Pyramid beers I’ve tried. Not overly hoppy, though a little more than I prefer. A good beer overall.

Bottle @ home. Amber orange appearance with a light brown head. Piney, somewhat resiny, sappy, somewhat citrusy hoppy, fairly rich toffee aroma. Rich caramel toffee malty, moderate piney flavor. Lots of flavor that’s done very nicely. Really a nice sessionable, sessionable brew.

Brassy color with a thin, but resilient burnt caramel creme layer. Fresh, delicious aroma of glass full of autumn. Fresh hops, caramel apple, crisp malt, and ripening tree nuts delight the olfactory senses. Easy going, moderate caramel malt flavors ensconced with a swish of bitter hop flavor and an equable dose of floral character. Caramel apple bobs in for good measure. The aromas and flavor are relatively simple and restrained, but of perfect pitch, quality and harmonic balance. Sessionable and brilliant!

Pours a nice dark leathery brown in color. Aroma is basically malt & spice (cloves & licorice). Flavor is a bit more complex with big malty essence and a spicy aftertaste of clove, licorice, cinnamon and a hint of mint. Overall, it’s a nice easy drinking brew... I would probably drink this more if I had regular access to it.

Nice sweet smelling beer straight from the bottle. Caramel notes strong at first, then a nice hoppy flavor with a great bitter ending, nice red ale.

Good beer, very drinkable. Smooth. Just not a lot going on there, though. Tasty, but will not change your life.

12 oz bottle. Aroma of grain, malt, caramel. Pours a deep amber hue with a nice head, good lacing. Flavor is biscuits, caramel, malt, grains. Bitterness in the aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel, fairly big body. This is one of the better ambers I’ve had, actually. I’m surprised by this one. I wasn’t expecting much.

12oz bottle. Rating #48. Dark amber pour with a very light tan head. Nice hop aroma up front with some nice bold malt in the background. Light hops and a little caramel, very easy going down and pretty nice overall. (1081)
