5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Bottle:   Somewhat of a burnt brown sugar color, thin foamy sandy head, little lacing.   Chewy aroma, biscuit and some caramel/toffee.   Also bready, in a bit of a whole wheat sense.   Smooth on the tongue.   Mild sweetness, more of that breadiness.   Also a little caramel.   Not as sweet as the nose suggested.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Decent example, wished it were a touch sweeter with more caramel, then we would have something.

Taste is quite sweet at first, prolonged ripened fruit (currant) notes, toffee sweetness and the presence of oak in the body
