Out of a variety pack from wegmans. Looks good, then disappoints. Especially with the nose, a key beloved part of a bock. The look is rich copper, off white head. Nose is grassy, a touch floral, all wrong. Palate is butterscotch, a bit of maltiness with a hops finish. Huh? Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 27, 2012
Ze bottle ze ounces twelve! Slightly hazy brown with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of... well... not much. Faint grain and herbal notes. The taste is grassy hops, toasted malts, caramel. Medium bodied. blutt59 (6609) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 21, 2012
Bottle, pours a clear amber color with slight foam, aroma is banana and some tropical fruit, flavor is somewhat thin with fruity banana djd07 (16317) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 19, 2012
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a corn malt and honey. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt and caramel with crisp finish. Easy to drink a good Heller Bock from Pyramid. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 1, 2012
Pours hazy amber with a dense, cream-colored head. Malty caramel aroma. Taste adds some spicy hop notes. Clean finish. Not bad at all.

Bottle from BevMo. Nose is somewhat grainy, with a little bit of a grassy hop aroma. Good malt backbone. A hint of sweetness. Decent hoppiness as well. Better than expected. I thought it would be really sweet. I’m glad it isn’t. Oscbert (1339) - Lincoln, California, USA - MAR 18, 2012
~Sulfury yeast aroma with bread, slightly musty and minerally. Not a bad smell, this smell goes away after a few seconds after the pour then I get more caramel breadiness with light hop spiciness.
~Pours a clear copper gold color with small disappearing white head.
~Sulfur and mineral again in the flavor with spicy hop and bready biscuity malt.
~Light to med bodied, with med to high CO2, dry lingering mineral finish.
~I will have to try this again, I just had Gordon Biersch Maibock which is much more rich and flavorful. This seems pretty weak in comparison. Still an enjoyable brew just seems a bit watered down and dull. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAR 18, 2012
12oz bottle. Rating #6. Hazy brown with a little gold mixed in and an off-white head. Light toasted caramel aroma, a touch of sugar sweetness. Mild flavor, no bitterness to speak of. More toastiness and a mild aftertaste. (2242) SDalkoholic (2444) - Linda Vista, California, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle from Rite Aid: Created a thick soapy lather of foam head while a dense brass colored liquid rested below. As for the aroma, a mild nose of honey, wheat bread, oat while a touch of grapefruit citrus comes through. The flavor brings out more of the bitter hops and taste of a waxy lemon peel, grapefruit juice, and a soft malt profile in backing it all up. Decent impy IPA considering it was brewed by Pyramid. Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. The color was honey caramel, which always is a plus in my bet. Just about a finger of head. Minimal lacing that dissipated quickly. Some wet film on the sides.
Was kind of digging the smell. Got some toffee, caramel and chocolate. Pretty malty.
First taste was malts. Seemed to be toffee and caramel. Also got a bit skunky at the end.
Medium body. Slick texture. Lively (above average) carbonation. Watery finish.
Would have liked it to be more malty, but it wasn’t too bad. I’d give it another go.
