Ignition Series #2
Outburst Imperial IPA is a high-impact workout for the senses. A crafty combination of four different hops, and a dose of dry hopping, powers Outburst to 80 IBU strong. Its bold profile offers an aroma reminiscent of the Northwest hop fields at harvest time, along with spicy overtones of fresh citrus. Seeking a harmonious balance to the hop overload, we’ve blended four different specialty malts to create a distinctive deep amber hue and sweet caramel and roasty flavors.

Portland and Seattle rule the American beer scene. Especially ipa's. Which is why this beer tastes exactly like I thought it would. Deep amber color with a nice head poured into a pint glass. Extremely hoppy with a nice malt taste. You cannot go wrong with Pyramid brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber, slight haze, medium head. Moderately earthy, sweet, really chewy. Touch of piña, alcohol. Meh.

Pours a deep amber color with a frothy white head that left some lacing. Decent aromas of pine and citrus. Hoppy flavors are balanced by the strong malt backbone. Medium-bodied but the finish was a bit off, a little muddled. Overall it was alright, but there are much better Imperial IPAs out there

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Resinous, sultry, sweaty, hoppy aroma, almost a touch of purulence, hints of grapefruit, candied orange zest, marmalade, a touch of liquorice and aniseed. Taste is caramel malty, resinous and minimally citrusy hoppy, hints of grapefruit, boilt down orange juice, a touch of aniseed and liquorice. A bit outworn...

Ordentligt smakrik och bra med beska och en aning frukt. På det hela taget en fullpackad iipa.

65cl fles. Helder amber kleur, fijne romige creme schuimkraag. De geur van citrus en ananas. Smaak is zoet, licht droog karamel, citrus en mango. Vol Lichaam, Veel koolzuur. Mooi in balance.

Bottle from a supermarket along the California/Nevada border. Aroma is oily hops, tropical fruits, biscuity malt, touch of caramel, pine resin, citrus, orange. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a firm bitter finish. Alcohol slightly noticeable. Body is medium. Very agressively hopped, bit boozy, could use a lot more balance.

olio (10909) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 4, 2017
355 ml bottle.
Pours clear golden color with small head. Resin on the nose, some hops left, orange and malts. Bitter malty flavor with mandarin and orange, resinous hops, slick palate, some bitterness on the aftertaste too. Slightly sweet overall. Sadly not very fresh anymore.
