COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ignition Series #2
Outburst Imperial IPA is a high-impact workout for the senses. A crafty combination of four different hops, and a dose of dry hopping, powers Outburst to 80 IBU strong. Its bold profile offers an aroma reminiscent of the Northwest hop fields at harvest time, along with spicy overtones of fresh citrus. Seeking a harmonious balance to the hop overload, we’ve blended four different specialty malts to create a distinctive deep amber hue and sweet caramel and roasty flavors.

From QC. Drank with Matt after Reza's boat. Dark amber/reddish brown. Medium off-white fizzy creamy head. Lathery watery legs. Smells of apricot, some banana peach apple, musty woody hop, light herbal grassiness. Taste is resinous, moderate to heavy bitterness, slight apple-y malt but overall a bit thin. Body is medium, bitter, lightly grass, medium carbonation. Decent but not exceptional - nose is quite malty and taste is mostly resin.

Bottle from QClub at home. Copper amber pour with dense smallish head. Aroma is pine resin hops and quite a bit of bready malt. Taste follows - lots of malty sweetness but more pine resin bitterness. Sweet bitter finish. Not my favorite style of DIPA, but not bad.

From the 6-pack of bottles, nice orange with a white collar. Good hop flavor with a little fruit, good bitter happy ending. Nice 8.5% content, not really noticeable except in the warm buzz. Was on sale for $5.99 which makes it a total score.

22 oz bottle. From a gas station in Bend, OR.
Clear deep amber colour with a small frothy off-white head. Resiny hops, sweetness and some caramel malt in a fresh aroma. The flavour is resiny and fruity hops, bread, cookies, sweet malt and some tea like bitterness. Balanced.

Draft pour, and bottle poured probably a couple dozen times over the years. Can’t believe I haven’t rated this. Pours a copper color with a foamy head. Hoppy grainy aroma. Flavor is bitter, with some sweet hops mixed in. Finishes on another more bitter note. Always been a bit of a go to imperial for me. What can I say. It’s cheap, strong, and tasty. I’ll keep getting this.
