2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
This one was just kind of decent at best. Not a lot going on in the aroma. After it warmed up I got a little bit of grapefruit and pine. Taste was okay. Nothing really that notable. Some hop bitterness, and crackery biscuit malt and that’s about it. I’ve had a few other beers by Pyramid and they were pretty good but this one was just kind of average in my opinion. The name gave me this idea of bit hop bursts. Okay beer.
Ordentligt smakrik och bra med beska och en aning frukt. På det hela taget en fullpackad iipa. Iboveleer (1) - Coos bay, Oregon, USA - JUL 4, 2017 does not count

Love this IPA. It has everything going for it. All five senses will agree. Drank this ale last summer and will drink it again this summer! Cheers...! maupie (1098) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - JUN 26, 2017
65cl fles. Helder amber kleur, fijne romige creme schuimkraag. De geur van citrus en ananas. Smaak is zoet, licht droog karamel, citrus en mango. Vol Lichaam, Veel koolzuur.
Mooi in balance. tricksta_p (4747) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle from a supermarket along the California/Nevada border. Aroma is oily hops, tropical fruits, biscuity malt, touch of caramel, pine resin, citrus, orange. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a firm bitter finish. Alcohol slightly noticeable. Body is medium. Very agressively hopped, bit boozy, could use a lot more balance.

Pours clear golden color with small head. Resin on the nose, some hops left, orange and malts. Bitter malty flavor with mandarin and orange, resinous hops, slick palate, some bitterness on the aftertaste too. Slightly sweet overall. Sadly not very fresh anymore.
This particular offering seems to me to be pretty much the usual DIPA, but what I don’t like about it is the obvious alcohol content, undisguised by maltiness, hops or flavor. So many other DIPA’s do a much better job at this... sometimes to my detriment (I’m thinking of you, Lagunitas Maximus!) Aroma of citrus and caramel, pours amber with a cream head. Sweet and full malty flavor with some pine involved. I would try this again. wombat23 (1501) - Texas, USA - FEB 9, 2017
Draft at Pyramid Taproom, Oakland Airport. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, floral notes. Taste is citrus, floral notes, caramel malt, bread. Finish is moderately bitter and a little too sweet. tightslice (1351) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 3, 2016
Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is sweet corn, caramel, mild pine and citrus. Taste is sweet and subdued...maybe this wasn’t very fresh, a little too sweet and not nearly enough hop flavor for an Imperial IPA. JPDIPSO (6236) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Dark copper color. Moderate, but stable light beige head. Floral to citric fresh hops aromas. Hints of toasted malt in the background. Quite citric and malty. Fairly sweet with a mild syrup flavor. Finish is a bit biting and quite long. The longer I wait between quaffs, the more I hesitate. 12/10
