marcus (10669) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours black with a thick tan head and a fruity aroma. There is a dry roasted malt flavor with some dark fruit and a bit of chocolate. very drinkable.

DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 15, 2009
Dark brown, ruby tones. Spicy, a little plummy, bready and toasty, slightly yeasty. Not a lot of hop character, but I don’t mind. Very satisfying.

onceblind (10561) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Dark murky nutty brown with a gigantic light cream head, even when poured gently. Smells like roasted caramel and earthiness along with a bitter grassy and leathery hop note. Flavor is kinda nutty and earthy with some boozy toasted caramel malt, light notes of chocolate, some leather, a little herbal and earthy hop flavor and semi-strong hop bitterness. Like a calm BIPA with less roast and less American hops.

Clear deep amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel, dark overripe fruits and hints of hops. Hoppy flavour with roasted malt, caramel, dark overripe fruits and figs. Finished hoppy.

Draft. Mahogony colored beer with a thin white head. Spicey, malty aroma. Sweet malt flavors with some holiday spiceiness. A touch of fruit. Slight roastiness. I don’t remember it being this good - but I’ve only had it in bottles before.

blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Draft after a day of skiing. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Lightly roasted malts, bread, light holiday spices, and a medium fruity sweetness. Good stuff.

DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 31, 2013
12oz bottle. Enjoy by 3/11/13. Darker hazy brown / red color. Huge pillowy khaki fills the glass and requires a 2-part pour. Fades, but a good thin layer remains. Cinnamon spice and baked apple / pear skin nose. Medium - plus body. Smooth, light / medium soft carbonation. Light spicy bite in the finish. Spice, and toasty english malt taste. Some musty bruised fruit. Light metallic. Moderate bitter, light spice bite... Not awful, but not very pleasant. Not my kind of English Strong Ale, nor my kind of winter ale.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a small head. The taste is full of hops, some deep fruit, a smooth malt, and a Belgian yeast that adds a ton. It’s underrated; not the best, but damn good.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 16, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2014 Dark burgundy color, with faint aromas of roasted cherries. Full feel, with medium carbonation; tastes of sweet cherries, roasted wood, and spices. Palate is left feeling jumpy. What a nice beer.

bytemesis (9214) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear brown-amber with a small tan head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is faint, with notes of caramel, orange. Flavor is a bit spicy, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and fairly strong orange peel riding a caramel back. Medium body, light zesty bitterness. Not really my thing.
