We heap the hops into each batch of our Thunderhead IPA. A golden nectar with a striking floral aroma, Thunderhead holds a harmonious balance between its bold hop bitterness and subtle malt backbone.

Tap at the Alehouse right next to Safeco. Beer garden plastic cup. Deep orange in color...maybe a hint of copper. Minor white head. Aroma is relatively mild. Hops at the forefront with a bitter, grassy middle and end. Maybe a hint of sweetness. Like most of their offerings it’s very tame and forgettable. Cool location though.

Appearance: pours with a small beige head, the beer is a hazy golden bronze color Aroma: malt creaminess, slight hop grass, lemon Taste: bitter, grain, lemon, Palate: bitter aftertaste, lively carbonation, medium mouthfeel Overall: not a bad beer but nothing that special, pretty much a bitter beer with out much complexity ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great cheap ipa with a high dollar taste! Good balance of malt and hop! Great beer for the price!

"i remember having a really good imperial ipa from Pyramid once, but it must have been based on a different IPA than this one...this is the budweiser of IPA’s. anything but inspired. less aroma and flavor than one would expect."

Bottle on Amtrak October 5th, 2014. Aroma of sap, citrus, caramel. Taste is bittersweet. Effervescent and dry finish.

jds2008 (20) - Washington, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Coppery amber color with very fine cream colored head. Aroma is floral and "beery." Flavor is caramelly with floral notes, followed by really strong herbal bitterness. Tastes good, but too long of a bitter finish for me.

Oakes (17676) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 16, 2014
Hazy dull light amber. Medium head. Earthy aroma and old school bitter but dull cheesy hop character. Not great but old school.

reus958 (21) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 12, 2014
Pours as a muddy amber, not particularly clear in an IPA glass. Very little hop aroma. Tastes very bitter with a little bit of malt flavors to back it. It’s like Pyramid added all hops early in the boil. This beer was a complete miss and disappointing for pyramid.

Luvystypotables (1965) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JUL 9, 2014
Virtually no aroma just a hint of hops, copper colored not much head. No distinctive taste just a bitter taste with an oily feel and a bitter finish.

alexsdad06 (10413) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 14, 2014
12 ounce bottle from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a clear golden amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, mild caramel, light resiny and citrus hops, lightly toasted bread, a general bitterness to the finish, medium bodied. A very average ipa.
