Sample at Burger Bar in Las Vegas (as "Burger Bar Amber"). The beer is a murky dark orange-amber color with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of musty malt. Medium, smooth body with a midly tart fruit character and pale malt and lightly bitter hops flavors. The finish is clean and lightly fruity with a short tart aftertaste. Just average overall.

On draft at Horatio’s restaurant in San Leandro, CA (12/27/07). I was told this was brewed by Horatio’s by the wait staff and didn’t think to ask more questions about it during my visit. Thanks to milo2 for clearing up the origin of this amber.

Pours amber with tan head. The aroma is mild and vaguely malty and not really much else. I struggled to pull that out of the nose. The taste begins with a bite of hops and a hint of metal. It quickly turns rich and malty with roasted malts mixed with some light dark fruity esters. The hops almost vanish into the finish leaving a maltiness and faint dark fruitiness into the brief after taste.

[email protected] Alehouse. Grainy lemony stuff. Some nuttyness. Extremely thin, and very dissapointing, clean and boring.

Draft at Embassy Suites, Sacramento. Billed as "Tower Bridge" Unfiltered Amber. Copper-brown with a light haze and a small ring of bubbles. Mild caramel and wheat grain nose. Taste is soured orange juice, toffee, toasted nut and bland wheat. Light-medium body has high carbonation and is fairly well balanced.

(Draught) Creamy almond head with a granular , toffee colured body. This is what all amber ales should look like when unfiltered. Where this beer is great to view - it has literally NO NOSE??? Nice lacing on the glass. Mildly caramel in taste with little hops to detect. Creamy malty finish. Above average.

BillKismet (4021) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 2, 2002
Cloudy apple cider appearance with malt and caramel evident in the aroma. Smooth and easy to drink--a summer-oriented amber meant as refreshment--other than that purpose--it is purely pedestrian.
