Truly shocked to see all the low scores on this beer. First time I had it, it was labelled as "Happy Viking Ale" at the apply named Happy Viking pub in Marysville, CA. As smooth an ale I’ve ever tasted, great flavor and good finish. I went on quite a search trying to find this ale again, and finally tracked it down at the Pyramid Taproom in the Oakland Airport. Draft at Embassy Suites, Sacramento. Billed as "Tower Bridge" Unfiltered Amber. Copper-brown with a light haze and a small ring of bubbles. Mild caramel and wheat grain nose. I, for one, do not get the haters of this beer. It pours brown and cloudy. Aroma of bananas, and other fruits. Flavor is cidery, but also has notes of prune and raisin in there. Finishes clean. baraciisch (3335) - California, USA - JUN 4, 2009

Sample at Burger Bar in Las Vegas (as "Burger Bar Amber"). The beer is a murky dark orange-amber color with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of musty malt. Medium, smooth body with a midly tart fruit character and pale malt and lightly bitter hops flavors. The finish is clean and lightly fruity with a short tart aftertaste. Just average overall.

Pours amber with tan head. The aroma is mild and vaguely malty and not really much else. I struggled to pull that out of the nose. The taste begins with a bite of hops and a hint of metal. It quickly turns rich and malty with roasted malts mixed with some light dark fruity esters. The hops almost vanish into the finish leaving a maltiness and faint dark fruitiness into the brief after taste.
Draught at Falling Rock. Pours hazy amber with an average, frothy, off-white, lasting head, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain), light hops (flowers), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, thin texture, average duration, and a bitter finish. I don’t usually do this but I am rating this one from memory. Ordered this after work for a happy hour...it went under the house beer selection served at Kincaid’s Steak House. My coworker commented how his beer looked different, given that he was not used to drinking unfiltered beers before. He wasn’t going to drink it, but then after the waitress came back and explained that it was unfiltered, he ended up drinking it. What I remember is a typical amber ale flavor but some spices added. Draft. Had this one at the Oakland airport under the name of Jet Set Amber Ale. Cloudy, opaque amber about the color of fresh squeezed apple juice. Very mild aroma - almost nothing there - faint maltiness with a bit of spice. Flavor is sweet and spicy with a little hop bite and pepper in the finish. Full body ad gentle carbonation. Not bad.
