3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy burnt orange with a short head. Aroma of tea, soy, nutty malt, and grassy hops. Light, dry bitter flavor. Light-med body, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a solid bitter finish.
From the bottle I get a pretty stronger dull thick perfumey aroma. Loks like cloudy iced tea. Thin scum of a topper. Why does everything have to ruined with IPA? Big hairy deal, this is a wheat beer brwed with lots of hops to include a IPA BS impact. At least this is something new from pyrie baby. Yes, a thicker mouth coating palate kicks your ass. Really does show the alky content, quite a burst. Long hoppy bitter medicinal finish, what ever, not impressed. I hope the ipa fad fades quicker than it has. Difficult rude on ipa style palate wrecker. Did I say not impressed,oh yea, I did. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 5, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a semi hazy orangish amber color, with a two finger fluffy head. Aroma has lots of caramel malt and wheat, then some lemon peel and some herbal, grassy undertones. Taste is sweet up front with the malt and wheat, then comes with some mild lemon tartness and nice bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 24, 2013
12oz bottle. Medium off-white head atop lightly hazed dark amber body. Aroma is Medium sweet, caramel, orange, some wheat, toast. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, caramel, some grapefruit, wheat. Effervescent light-medium body. More a wheat beer than an IPA, but fairly enjoyable. OldMrCrow (2443) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 28, 2013

Full-on IPA despite the wheat, very bitter soapy hops with lingering bitterness. Not particularly good.
Tap. Clear amber color with ivory head. Hoppy ganja bud, spicy aromas with white bread. medium body, average carbonation. Hoppy floral, pine sap flavors with smooth pale maltage----good

Pours dark, red-amber with a short, tan head.
Aroma is bread heel....
Taste is toast, bread, caramel, sticky fruit, earth,...a little ferrous bitter....and a hint of pepper....
Mild, no off notes...
Just simple....a bit bland.
Decent, just no "zing" to it. mvp (263) - Harper Woods, Michigan, USA - MAY 4, 2013
pours out dark orange with a head that disappears quickly. I didn’t care for the aroma. The bread and doughy malt seems to take away from the citrus hops. Just an average beer at best. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Crisp and mildly sweet. Grass and light lemon. Some fruit and wheat. Smooth and velvety. Nice drink. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Golden in color, hazy with a thin head. Big wheat flavor and aroma. Light IPA hops backing. Nice easy drinking beer. Tad too light with hops. trujahwarrior (510) - Monroe, Washington, USA - FEB 6, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a thich white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of wheat, citrus, and pine. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy with a semi dry finish. Overall this is a good tasting northwest ipa with a nice added wheat flavor. Was only on tap for the longest time. Glad they finally bottled it.
