Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 28, 2013
Bottled 50cl. Pours a dark beer with a remarkably light head. Burnt match, cress and dark chocolate throughout. Sticky spotty chunky lace. Very true to the style. Delicious.

jfb (6573) - GERMANY - JAN 22, 2013
(bottle) pours a hazy dark ruby-amber colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of floral hops, hay and light caramel, with a very light hint of cherries, liquorice and roasted malts. flavour is mostly roasted malts and caramel, slightly grainy, with a faint hint of dark chocolate and a dry finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2012
draft at Nurnberger Alm as Hausbier Alm-Schwarze.
roast / char focused nose with notes of harsh black tar like and lactic acid. crunchy and acidic and highly effervescent though decently frothy. medium-bodied, lightly sweet. flavors of burnt plum and burnt molasses and soy sauce show up with a small touch of minerallic licorice. probably not in great shape, but seems about on par with most other things to come out of this brewery.

2.9
jookos (6948) - FINLAND - SEP 23, 2012
Bottle. Black, clear. Nose has some roasted tones, lager yeast, some dms. Nice, quite neutral. Body is lightish. The roasted malts, soft corn. Pretty good. Ok schwarz, not the best nor exceptional.
