[ As Pyynikin Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout ].
Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, roasted, dark malt, coffee, alcohol - bourbon, light vanilla, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, dark malt, bourbon, vanilla - bourbon. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcohol.
Bottle from Alko. 13%, looks like mineral oil. Lovely lacing of bourbon, vanilla, velvety stout. The booze is very strong, if bourbon is your thing, do not hesitate. Me? I'd like a shorter barrel aging. And the American oak feel Is way tpp strong. Taboada (1427) - Compostela (Galiza), - JUL 21, 2017

Dark brown beer with little but long lasting beige head. Aroma has bourbon and dark fruits and dark bread. Flavor adds chocolate, toffee and licorice. A bit too boozy but not disturbingly for this ABV. A great slow sipper from Pyynikki. I like this better than the Oak Imperial Stout, this has more of the chewy sweetness and more carbonation but they’re quite the same.
Bottle from the dregs run. Cheers Stuu! Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coconut, chocolate, liquorice. Taste is boozy, vanilla and chocolate. Dry finish. nihtila (3872) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle at Garvie’s. Pours black, not much head. Nose is almost pure bourbon, woody and vanilla, boozy. Tastes soft, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, light roast, a bit boozy, light coconut. Tastes better than it smells. Very nice if slightly unbalanced. Stuu666 (14596) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 10, 2017
