On tap at the party source in bellvue ky growler station. Puff pours a rich black brown opaque pint. Head is minimal fine bubbles. Nose is of dark stone fruit, chocolate and bourbon. Taste is dark chocolate covered cherries dipped in bourbon with a hint of oak. Body is silky. Finish is good bitters. Very rich beer with just a bit of the bourbon around the edges. Quite nice.
Finally! Draft - nose is bourbon. Sip adds vanilla, booze, wood and roast. Dry. A stand out beer and glad I got to try this. phaleslu (10263) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 7, 2014
Draft at Ei8ht Ball in a sampler. Nice to see this one make an appearance. Pours a deep, mostly opaque brown with amber edges and a small beige ring. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, a bit of soy and metal, dark fruits, and roast. Flavor is the same. Very smooth. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation. Maybe a bit past it’s prime but still good. alexsdad06 (10415) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 27, 2012

Draft sample at CBF 2012. Poured black color with an average brown head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet chocolate, bourbon, wood and vanilla aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a standout smooth brew.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; pitch black with low carbonation and razor-thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes SWEET, chocolatey, and boozy with a thin, average mouthfeel. Solid. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2012
Sample on tap at Cincy Beerfest 2012. Dark, bit clear black color. Good thin khaki / tan head. Nice, thick sheets of lace. Awesome, creamy chocolate milky aroma. Woody, with a long complex woody aftertaste. Thin body, but a creamy texture. Light carbonation. Dry finish. Sweeter, sort of boozy taste. Awesome woody milky aroma. This is great, whatever this is. Very tasty and pleasurable to sip. Complex and interesting. JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2012
