Bottle courtesy of nimbleprop, thank you sir! Hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of vanilla, funky summer fruit. Taste has tannins, vanilla, white wine. Decent. nimbleprop (8830) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 6, 2014
22oz bottle picked up via trade with alexdad06 and brought to the DC Epic Sour Tasting 2014. Pours a murky, pineapple orange with some foamy, white head. Nose has some nail polish, pineapple, lots of sugary cake icing, pineapple upside down cake. flavor has a ton of tropical fruit and sugar, juicy fruit gum, papaya, a little mild spice. Full bodied, lightly hot finish. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 19, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2014 hazy gold, thin white head. Hot nail polish nose, vegetal, light lemon zest, light vanilla, thyme. Ultra sweet flavor, very hot, plastics, wines, grain. So many errors here, straight drain. solidfunk (9444) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Very boozy and oaky. Coudy orange with ok head and lacing. Too unbalanced on barrel and oak for my liking, with lots of wine in this and barrel. Bottle thanks to Nimbleprop at epic sour tasting. GenDV138 (7764) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Bottle shared at DC Annual Epic Sour Tasting. Golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of coconut, oak, vanilla, sweet fruit. Tasting notes of oak, coconut, light tart, sweet fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Interesting.

Poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma is light wine barrel notes, some funk. Mostly smooth malts, barrel and wine. Not bad. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2014
bottle from the DC crew’s Epic Sour tasting 2014. Definite tangy vinous character with grape, tannic tang, vanilla, a hint of heat, good nectar fruit sweetness. Pretty solid. alexsdad06 (10977) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Had on draft and from the bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head that disappeared quickly. The aroma and flavor have sweetmalts, vanilla, white grape juice, bourbon, wood, caramel, additional vinous character, with a mild to moderate bitterness to the finish. A touch dry. Overall, I thought that this was pretty good, but carries a little bit of heat. shigadeyo (3797) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 29, 2013

7/19/2013: Quaff Bros Savage Blank - This beer is a very interesting cross between white wine and bourbon. It is fairly light and breezy on the palatte, but goes dwn a bit boozy. I’m on the fence as to whether the white grape and bourbon actually work well together or not. Overall, the beer is fairly dry from the wine and oak, but that’s offset a bit from the vanilla and some of the light tanins coming through. An interesting experiment, to say the least, that seems to work. If only it were a bit cheaper...
Draught (sample) at The Party Source in Bellevue, KY. Rating #7 for this beer.
22 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy but bright yellow-orange with a finger of cream white head that settles into a ring. Aroma of vanilla, dried apricots, grape juice, toffee, sweet bready malts, and oak. Flavor is also led by vanilla, with apricot, grape juice, sweet malts, straw, toffee, and what tastes a bit like peach. Bourbon barrel is noticeable here for sure. The grape is more subtle. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, juicy, malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Interesting beer.
