Bottle. Dark brown. Poured with a big head. Unusual earthy taste and quite malty. Different and the jury is out on this one. Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2014
Bottle shared during the satellite Travlr 10K tasting at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Thanks to Paul and his buddy. Pours rich brown with a creamy tan head. Roasty-woody aroma with dry chocolate, roasted malts, char. Light sweet flavor with some minerals, heavy charred wood, strongly bitter scorched earth. Light-medium in body with fine carbonation. Huge charred malt finish with more earth, minerals and baking cocoa. Quite a rough one. Could definitely use some tweaking.
