Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Appley caramel character, woody, estery in a bad way. Seems this beer wasnt kept well at all. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2009
Cask gravity at Bedford BF ’09. Bright copper. A hint of green apple in the aroma. The taste is sweet piecrust, a little thin and watery, with slight bitterness. Not very memorable to be frank. harrisoni (19003) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2009
Cask gravity at Battersea BF 09. Crystal clear amber, no head. Bit stoney, it’s a bit thin. Yep, just a bit poor. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 17, 2009

Cask/gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 8 Feb 08. Golden brown colored. No head. Sweet fruity aroma of plums. Sweet fruity flavor with a modest bitter aftertaste. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2007
A Sim rate (cask at Chelmsford BF): Aroma of apple and very slight caramel. Candy apples? Flavour is similar with slight alcoholic bitter aftertaste. Fin (10718) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2007
Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 06-07-07. Poured amber with a small white head. This was quite tasty, albeit a touch on the sweet side with caramel being the first flavour to hit me followed by a pleasant but safe maltiness. Glen’s right there wasn’t too much showing from the hops, but regardless of that I rather enjoyed it. imdownthepub (14974) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2007
Cask conditioned at Merton Beer festival ’07. Amber, no head. I get what they are trying to do with this without getting it, so to speak. A light bitter, malt, biscuit background but when you expect the hops to kick through, they don’t, they are hiding. Still light and malty on the finish, it will appeal to some, just not me.
