"A real ale with a hint of continental looks, taste and aroma. We’ve called it Quartz Extra Blonde because of its light colour and finish."

[email protected] Tavern, London. Yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts along with some floral and biscuity notes. Flavour is quite similar with some quite zesty and resiny notes.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Cask (Peterborough BF 2007) Pleasant light ale. Full of lightly-roasted malt taste, maybe a kind of breadiness, but lacks guts.

Cask conditioned at The Imperial Tavern, Worcester. Gold with white head. There is quite a flowery note to this beer, perfumed and slightly fruity, tart to the palate. Sourish apricot note with a light cereal background. Just okay for me.

Bottle from myBrewerytap. Pours clear golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of caramel and weak citrus. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, short very weak bitter finish, a bit on the sweet side overall, watery palate.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Old Contemptibles Birmingham. A yellow gold coloured beer with a big white sparkledand agitated head and lacing. An interesting beer. Sweet with bready malts and husky oats throughout. A bit of late orange and then some definite granulated sugar. Characterful and actually quite cool.
