MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 2, 2010
(bottle, 25cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly beige foamy head. Moderately acidic-fruity and mildly roasted malty aroma with notes of red berries and a whiff of caramel. Sour-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Initially fruity and vinegary taste with a quite well-blended malty and slightly sugary sweetness towards the finish, accompanied by a slightly roasty and shy woody touch. Nice but a tad too sweet. 02.XI.10

[330ml bottle, Delirium Café, Brussels] Totally random pick from the massive menu at Delirium in Brussels. Dark brown pour from a bottle with a dirty and ripped label. Thankfully the beer inside was pretty good. Nice example of a bruin, with a touch of sweetness that counteracted the more acrid flavours from the tart yeasts. Quite bitter but not as puckering as Rodenbach. Refreshing stuff [10032010]

Bottle 0,35ltr: Another Vanuxeem brew now brewed at Verhaeghe, Clear reddish/brown with an sweet sour taste. Just like this commisioned brew too, they must build their own brewery on the undeveloped land next to their shop, and become the first brewery in the Hainaut enclave.

jaghana (6070) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JUN 17, 2010
Bottle 25cl. An amber brown ale with nice head and good carbonation. Smell is typically on oude bruin beers, some vinegar smell and good cherry and burnt notes. Aroma is nice not too acid, but with a metallic finish. Nice cherry and malt flavor.

oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2010
Pours a reddish brown color. Aromas of dark fruit, yeast, and a touch of wood. Flavor is tart, yeast, wood, not as sour as I would like. Kinda Blah.

250ml bottle (Belgo Bar, Stockholm)
Rich reddy brown, healthy head. Sweet and sour - fruity woody aroma. Sweet fruity taste - some toffee, and pleasant crisp sharpness - acidity quite noticable, but not harsh. Very easy drinker, no alcohol in it at all. Crisp.

eManu (544) - Kuala Lumpur & Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 5, 2009
Pours a clear red brown color with a thin tan color head. Aroma of sour fruits, and roasted malts. Flavors are very sour dry fruits and caramels with some sugars. A sweet and sour finish. Nice and enjoyable.

Onestissima sour ale un po’ abbagasciata simile alla Duchesse però un po’ più delicata e forse feminile. Buona!
