33 cL bottle, from fonefan. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing tan head. Sour lacto aroma with reminisence of yogurt. Flavour is sweet sugarish and sour. Light citric note following. Ends with a lingering brown sugarish note. Light off note too.

Ungstrup (38383) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2003
A deep red beer with an fine head. The aroma is sharp, fruity and sweet - probably stemming from a mixture of wild- and controlled fermentation. The flavor is sweet in the beginning, then sharp - which lingers a long time, and the aftertaste is sharp and sour. A good beer, but not as good as I had expected after trying The Duchesse.

joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 29, 2006
Bottle. Clear orange brown coloured with a huge off white head. Aroma of red wine, caramel, glue and wood. Sweet flavour of caramel, red wine and wood.

anders37 (27006) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2006
Bottle. Dark reddish brown colour with a tan head. Weak acid aroma. Sweet sour flavor. A little thin, leaving you with a sweet aftertaste.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 3, 2006

Keg at spitfire... Dark brown.. Thin tan lacing... Soft funky fruit nose... Juicy fruits.. Berry balsamic.. Strawberry and cherry... Juicy fruits

omhper (25723) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2007
Bottled (1998 vintage) at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, minimal head. Lightly acidic cherry aroma. Fairly sweet with rounded gentle mouthfeel. Balsamic mouthfilling cherry flavour with some freshening acidity. Mild and creamy despite fairly light body and concentrated flavour. Superb! If it would lose some sweetness it would reach heaven!

Sharp sour brown beer in the Duchesse du Bourgogne mode. This beer is sweeter and with a herby medicinal note in the finish. Very nice.
