pale and insipid but atleast its clean i suppose. a lot like kirin ichiban, but better than the chemically metallic nastiness of say carling.

30cl bottle. Not bad tasting, had better though. Thin tasting, quite clean. Good balance between water and beer. Yellow pale colour, short lasting head if any. Refreshing.

Bottle. I have had a lot of pale lagers that were far worse than this one, however, it doesn’t have quite enough going for it to compare to some of the offerings comming out of say Germany. Hence why it got exact marginal ratings. This beer is perfectly crystal clear yellow, with a big frothy head. It has a clean, crisp aroma compared to the skunk that usually accompanies pale lagers from South America. The flavor is mild, hoppy, with a little bit of cereal grain filler. It has a medium body, and a clean finish. Pretty good.

Bottle brown, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours pale golden, yellowish body colour, highly carbonated like a fizzy drink, head is white, quite quickly decreasing and finally almost completely disappearing, despite the small crown of froth, head is foamy in texture, there are some traces of lacing.
Aroma: Very weak notes of cereal and citruses, a bit lemony, gentle hoppyness, quite good but lacking intensity.
Flavour: Very surprisingly interesting, front has the hints of mould cheese and mould itself but very positive, assertive, old putrid wood, woody - nuty with softness ans sweetness on palate, salty, well carbonated, chewy, very interesting and well balanced, rounded flavour. I am really positively surprised due to such an interesting and unusual flavour of this exotic beer for Polish standard. It was very hard to get and the price was quite high. For this price I could have ’Chimay Blue’ but as I said, it’s still worth a try. Finish duration is medium.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery but a bit sweety, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is chalky, bitter and a bit sweet, well balanced flavour.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2008 A bunch of bottles of this was bought by Kellie in Chicago, thanks. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white foamy head. The aroma was full of funky malts, and some metallic notes. The taste was pretty smooth; a basic lager, with sweet malts, some corn and a bit of bready notes. Overall, a decent pale lager for the mid-morning or 5AM.

33 bottle. Pale lager appearance, not surprising for a pale lager. Pale lager taste. A bit grassy. Average, can’t say too much.

Bottle. To be perfectly honest, when I go out and pick up random beers the first thing I do is check their ratings on ratebeer. So when I come home to see that a beer is made by InBev, I die a little inside. Anyways. Quilmes Cerveza is a golden brew that pours a big head so if I had to do it over again I would have chosen a lager glass. If you dont have a lager glass just use whatever you have since First of all the head dissipates in a rapid fashion and secondly I doubt this beer is hiding any mystical flavors that can be only released with the proper glassware. Besides hops there is nothing else distinctive about the aroma. Flavors of hops, a little bitterness, and a very very faint whisper of fruitiness. It is a drinkable beer ,but not one that you would drink for the sake of drinking beer.

Garrafa, junho de 2008. Colorao amarelada, com um creme razovel, denso no incio, mas com pouca durao. Presena de lpulo no aroma e no sabor, mas poderia ter mais. No mais, tpica pale lager, sem destaques positivos ou negativos.
