weeicemon's rating

weeicemon (126) - Lancaster, California, USA - JAN 5, 2004
Not as bad as I expected. Very thin head and weak color. Slight malt but nothing much else. Maybe not that exciting but for some reason, goes well with most food. The finish is exactly how it started.

gripweed57 (2301) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2017
From old tasting notes. Pale, straw gold color. Small white head. Slight yeasty malt aroma. Sweet grainy malt flavor. Slightly herbaceous with a faint taste of grammar school paste. Slightly bittersweet, salty middle. Light hoppy finish.

dimeon (211) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 15, 2017
A: Light straw with a medium white head. N: Not much going on here T: Standard lager, but with a note that is very reminiscent of kit beer. P: Thin O: Drinkable, but not the best.

Oiolosse (143) - Granada, SPAIN - JUN 7, 2017
Aromas de malta. Pura oro pálido, con cabeza blanca media. Algunas notas de hierbas, la amargura se desarrolla. Cuerpo ligero y alta carbonatación. Standard lager.

MarcoBasile (273) - DENMARK - JUN 7, 2017
Pours very pale straw color with a white frothy head. One of the palest macro lagers Ive seen yet. Aroma is light, malty and corny. Taste is corny a little sweet and crisp. But subtle all around. Thin body, Watery mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

So commercial! Its a pity... 20 years ago use to be a very good pilsen. Cry for it Argentina!

Nurmis (627) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAY 30, 2017
340ml bottle in Buenos Aires. Straight from the bottle. Watery lager with some dry hops. Decent for mass produced lager.

nazzty (1376) - Ödĺkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2017
Mass produced lager lacking identity and taste. Carbonated water with some beer flavors.

wheresthepath (2315) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2017
Bottle at Revolucion de Cuba, Reading. Pale gold with a light fizz and negligible head. Cardboard, (very) light malt, a little butter and a touch of boiled-to-pulp cabbage. The off notes did fade a little as I forced down more but it was pretty grim stuff. Still, at least I have the consolation that it’s added a new blue bit to my map.

jooilakon (122) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2017
340 ml bottle from an Amazon order. Aroma is malty but slightly sweet. Small white head and clear golden body. Quilmes is a highly carbonated and quite watery pale lager with a hidden citrus finish. A clean 2 out of 5. However I have to admit that this tasted a lot better when I lived in Buenos Aires for a while back in 2011-12.

z87 (48) - Frydek-Mistek, CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 27, 2017
Cereal aroma, empty taste - like spanish beers. Only curiosity and countries-catching got me to buy this beer. Bottle 0,33l from Beer shop in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
