Golden, medium carbonation with poor head retention. Very low grassy and olive aroma. Grassy, light citrus flavor, no malt presence at all. Medium high bitterness with astringency. Was expecting more. Not a good one.

Bottle at Jester King. Pours a clear orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and citrus. Medium mouth, pine, citrus, earthy malt, light bitterness, good.

bottle. hazy deep golden with huge head. tastes very oxidized and past its prime. almost no discernable hops. i guess that’s why it was on the bargain shelf.

marcus (10669) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 8, 2014
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours cloudy blonde with an extaordinarywhite head snd a cereal and toffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a mildly bitter finish. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

Capped 750 from Total Wine in Huntington Beach, CA. Pours hazy orange with a 3 finger creamy off-white head. Fruity/citrus aroma thru the head. Med body. Flavor is rather fresh fruit citrus. Mild roasty malt backbone. Tastes good.

Appearance: average golden color, possibly some haze to it, pours with a large dense off white head Aroma: smells like corn, industrial lager smell, Taste: has an industrial lager hint to it but also has done welcome bitterness on the finish, possibly some sweetness, very subtle beer Palate: lively carbonation, light mouthfeel, slight bitter aftertaste Overall: not a bad beer for the price, super cheap yet has some desirable qualities to it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Egg shaped, 75cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange, very active carbonation, tall foam. Aroma of oxidized malts, band-aids, and old citrus hops. Unfortunately I think this beer is past it’s prime. Decent body. Evidence of quality malts & hops. Finishes with a bit of a spicy tingle, either of the hops of the yeast. Definitely oxidized, bottle aged, hops aroma are gone. But the alias of Sparkling Ale does fit and seems more appropriate. (3953)

Bottle. Pours a hazy, deep gold with a light, cream head with lace. Nose is citrus and grapefruit, both subtle and pungent at the same time. A very meaty and savory pale ale -- it has the usual hops bitterness and citrus/flowery notes, but is much deeper and richer than many pale ales. Bitterness kicks up a notch on the finish. Very, very good.

My rating probably just doesn’t give this beer it’s due, but I was let down a bit. Poured pretty enough, but the hops were way too spicy for me.
