COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, deep red, malty creation fermented Belgian abbey style. It has a spicy fruity flavour and a wonderful aroma with cotton candy and bubble gum notes. It’s a carnival on your tongue.

Pleasant, fun aroma that certainly does have the "cotton candy and bubble gum notes" that the brewery promises. The flavor profile is odd, though. Yes, there is spice, and the alcohol is pleasantly present. But there is also an acrid presence in the aftertaste that only dissipates as the beer warms. I also feel that the beer could have a bigger flavor body than it does, given the style and the alcohol content (which is printed on the bottle as 8.2%). The opaque reddish-brown color is nice but there is no foam and no lacing to tantalize the eyes. No "carnival on the tongue" for me but there is definite potential here and I hope R&B makes more of these in the future.
