Bottle. Very nice dark-dark brown colour, large dense light coffee-brown head, nice aroma of coffee and malt w. notes of cocoa and burned caramel. Pure taste of ’espresso & beer’ - sweet malt and hops with coffee and minor bitterness. Very nice.
Black beer with a small beige head. Dark chocolate, licorice, malty and a bit smokey aroma. Coffee, dark chocolate, liocrice, malty, roasted flavour. A nice well balanced beer :-) larsniclas (7103) - Billdal, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2012

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Black with a nice light brown head. Big coffee beans aroma, a bit "green". Sweetish roasty flavor with lots of coffee and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. A good coffee Stout. fiulijn (20604) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 1, 2012

Black color with generous and creamy head. Roasted malt aroma, but strangely also some vegetables, and some roasted nuts; dust. Dry mouthfeel; roasted malts, begin of oxidization, some liquorice, low bitterness.
Not bad, but too old.
Bottle from theWolf, thanks! Best until 21.10.09. Almost black and opague. Mocha coffee, ash and dark chocolate in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast and mocha coffee. Has thinned, so probably past its peak. Still an utterly delicious beer. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 5, 2012
Bottle. Pours a deep brown, near-black body with a tiny off-white retention. Aroma is coffee, oats, sour-ish cereal tones, licorice, hints of toffee and tobacco. Very nice indeed. Taste is oats, smooth coffee tones, licorice and cream. Hints of wood and green leaves. Well-hidden alcohol, very drinkable and smooth. This must be the most politically correct beer I’ve ever had; wish all idealistic brews were as tasty as this one. (Most ecological beers have yet to make my day, for instance). thomat (3927) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2011
Dark brown with a small, tan head. Malty with coffee tones. Malt, coffee and fruit. Medium body with a nice, well balanced after taste.
