50 cL bottle (shared with faroeviking). Pours pitch black with brown creamy head. Great sweet and flowery aroma. This is really good: it starts out heavy with loads of aroma hops that then goes into a very soft stout sweet and malty taste and it ends in a soft bitter finish. Fanstastic tour! What a pity that this isn’t the sort of brew that is to find on the shelves in the normal stores as this could have been the best of the year if broad distribution had been made. A pitch black beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, which amonst other also leaves notes of grapefruit, but it also has notes of chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with notes of roasted malt, lots of hops, grapefruit, caramel, tar, and bitter chocolate, as well as slightly burnt notes. The end is very bitter, from a combination of the hops and the hard roasted malt. I think for a stout it would be just a bit better with a bit stronger roasted notes. joergen (29204) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2006
