50 cL bottle (shared with faroeviking). Pours pitch black with brown creamy head. Great sweet and flowery aroma. This is really good: it starts out heavy with loads of aroma hops that then goes into a very soft stout sweet and malty taste and it ends in a soft bitter finish. Fanstastic tour! What a pity that this isn’t the sort of brew that is to find on the shelves in the normal stores as this could have been the best of the year if broad distribution had been made. A pitch black beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, which amonst other also leaves notes of grapefruit, but it also has notes of chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with notes of roasted malt, lots of hops, grapefruit, caramel, tar, and bitter chocolate, as well as slightly burnt notes. The end is very bitter, from a combination of the hops and the hard roasted malt. I think for a stout it would be just a bit better with a bit stronger roasted notes. joergen (27983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2006

Draught. Deep rubyish brown colour, very close to black. Mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toffee, roasted malts, some alcohol and mild notes of hops and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, alcohol, mild sourness with coffee and chocolate taking over closer to the finish. Aftertaste is mainly chocolate, coffee and roast. WOW!

(On tap) Completely black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head. Fat aroma of lightly burned malt. Very solid body with lots of sweetish, hard roasted malt. Not overly hoppy. Very well made indeed. 281006 omhper (24972) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 16, 2007
Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Very black, small pale brown head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice. Dry, soft and full bodied with loads of chewy malt. Licorice mixes with asphalt and chocolate. Salty, tarry finish. Powerful, but never assaulting, A great Imperial Stout! cgarvieuk (24230) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 19, 2008
Cask at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Deep black ... thin brown head ... deep roast malts nose... charcoal and coffee... tooo bitter for me. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 6, 2007
Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen
Dark color, creamy head. Nice aroma, fresh, of roasted malt, cardboard, hops. Good body strength, powerful malt, more than the caramel and a roasted malt line (therefore, better for me). Strong hopping, not disturbing, partially aromatic, but also caramel and roasted malt in the final. Fresh, atypical Imperial Stout.
