Little or no head, yellowish bubbles on cola-coloured beer. Sweet, (red or dark) berries, dark malts but restrained, shoepolish (in a nice way), and a very light tobacco-like finish. Maybe some molasses. In the taste very outspoken tobacco (strong dark as pipetobacco), also peanuts (unsalted but roasted), dark malts, hint of liquorice, brown candi sugar and molasses. Only medium bodied, drinking away quite easily despite lots of flavour(s). Here’s one I like. Reasonably complex, sweet but not overly so, interesting flavours but no spicecocktail. Top! anders37 (26734) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2007
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white head. Spicy fruity malty aroma with some alcoholic hints. Sweet malty spicy flavor. Dry malty spicy finish with a warm malty spicy aftertaste. EHSRanders (2059) - Tjele, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2007
Bottle. Dark brown colour with small creamy light brown mostly diminishing head. Fruity aroma. Sweet spicy flavor vith notes of licorice. Nice christmas beer. Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2007
Bottle. Large beige thick creamy like head that mostly lasted. Nice display of lacework. Dark brown color with visible particles in flow. Aroma is heavy sweet fruity and slightly Christmas spicy. Over the palate some light bitter notes of hops can be felt. Also dried fruit, toffee, toasted malt, hint of sweet chocolate and liquorish. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and slightly thick texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Lingering light Christmas spice and liquorish like finish. Excellent Christmas beer I thought. charlotte (5394) - rødovre, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2007

Pours dark brown with medium head. Strange ashtray aroma with some malt as well. Same strange ashy flavor. I hope this was due to bad keeping.... TheDog (586) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2007
bottle version 2007. Dark brown colour with thin beige head. Light aroma and taste of caramel, nut and a bit vanila. I´ve had this at a christmas-beer tasting, up against Fur Julebryg, Fanø Julebryg, Troldhedes and Ørbæk Santa C. Raasted voted in at no. 3 behind Troldhede and Fanø. Raasted being a dissapointmnt because of the week and young taste. larsniclas (7111) - Billdal, SWEDEN - NOV 25, 2007
Almost black with a beige head.
Some dry cocoa-bitterness.
Light and slightly sourish flavour with vanilla.
