Bottle. Pours murky brown, thin tan head, spotty lacing. Nose is tight coffee, soft fruit, caramel, not really stout-like, rather lighter in aroma than I would expect even for a Porter. Flavours are more fruit, especially chokecherries, vanilla, some smoke, cough syrup. Meh. Frankly, this kinda sucks. Crit (4011) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 17, 2010
Dark brown, fast fading tan head.Coffee brown sugar nose & palate, bland mid, sugary end. Thin and undercarbonated paco (576) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 14, 2010
Bottle. Thanks to Vertical bacon strips for the trade!! Pours nice and dark with a very thin head that dies quickly. Aromas are very mild, hints of chocolate, soft malts and some roasted coffee beans. Very faint but sweet and enjoyable aromas. Taste is similar to the aroma. Very faint and plenty of mild sweetness. Some relaxed coffee, and faint chocolate. Very good beer from a surprisingly good brewery. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2010
Draft @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty sweetish coffee aroma. Sweetish roasted malty coffee flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a sweetish roasted malty coffee finish. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - OCT 20, 2010
0.33 l bottle, thanks Timo A and hanniku! Dark brown color. Sweet aromatic chocolatey coffee aroma with notes of dark sugar. The flavor is pretty much the same with some breadiness. Spritzy mouthfeel. Very coffee dominated but the coffee character is fairly nice.

330mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark roasted espresso and roasted malt. Flavour brings out the espresso as the most dominant, with a bitter finish. Medium thickness (maybe a little thin for the style) with an oily body. Quite nice. DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 27, 2010
Bottle. maybe it’s because we went through a few stouts this evening that were a bit heartier, but this came across as somewhat weak and watery. Coffee and vague fruity esters make up the flavour profile, and the finish is on the dry end, but this played out as being pretty thin overall. patricks110 (2496) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 23, 2010
A pretty good beer...not great. Aroma is huge roasted malts, tons of espresso and nuts. Caramel sweetness accompanies the malts. Taste is sweet molassy coffee goodness. A great winter beer or dessert beer. Nickls (2535) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2010
Bottle. Thanks Skinnyviking! Pours nearly black with a two finger tan head. Bitter malts, light toast, slight coffee presence. Flavor is a bit sweeter than aroma gives away. Prunes, chocolate, and light roastiness. Thinner body than I would have liked. Still a nice enough brew.
