chriso (7586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2011
Bottled, at Copenhagen Oldage on 20 May 2006. Gold / amber colour. Plenty of orange peel in the aroma with some estery fruit. More of the same on the palate. Some light spice presence detectable. Fine, but a bit sweet for my taste.

Unclear amber of color with an off white head. An aroma of spice, caramel and sweets. A flavor of spice, caramel and sweets. Lots of spice and hops.

harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2008
Bottle at EBF 08. Clear gold, thin beige head. Lovely crystallised fruit aroma. Yes, it’s a tripel. Decent, hop and alcohol sting on end. Again a little fuller in mouth than some. It’s extremely competent and hoppier and fuller than most belgian tipels.

Had this at the European Beer Festival Kobenhaven 13-09-08 Smooth Tripel, alcohol quite warming yet never intrusive. This poured clear warm golden and with good clarity. Quite yeasty, spicy and very nice.

Bottled@EBF2008. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is fruity hops and some fruits and spices along with a mild sweetness of alcohol. Flavour is burnt sugar, some yeast and toffee. Mild notes of roasted malts too. A rather pleasant and balanced brew.

Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Golden color. Compared to the “normal” Trippel Speciales, this one has more of a dried fruity feel, with somewhat stronger spicy notes. Yeast, candy sugar, toffee and toasted malt. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitter and acidic. Sweet dried fruity and mild spicy finish.
